You NEED these Sound Machines!

Are you looking for sound machines to keep at home or on the go? Sound machines allow babies to sleep soundly in car seats during events. These wonderful devises also allow toddlers to sleep though the noisy garbage truck out their window. I don’t use many fancy baby gadgets BUT a quality sound machine is a nonnegotiable for me because I LOVE sleep.

Babies are used to white noise in the womb, all the hums and buzz of the world around them. Noise machines help transition babies from the inside to the outside.

The Rohm White Noise Machine: This is portable, so we brought it on long walks, to Hawaii and summer vacations when the boys were small. It has an awesome battery life. It can hook to an infant car seat or dangle from a stroller. Now, we plug it into the wall and it is in Jackson’s room for every nap and sleep.

The Hatch Baby Rest: You will have this for years! It is aesthetically pleasing, user friendly and can function as a night light, ok to wake clock and/or noise machine. I plan to use this until my boys sleep in…so probably until high school 🙂

Here’s how we use it in the morning (we started this system when Connor was 2.5 years old):

-white light = go back to bed

-red light = you can get up and play quietly

-green light = do jobs and come downstairs

I love that I can control the Hatch from my phone. If Connor sleeps in or needs to go to bed earlier, I can quickly just change the colors using the app on my phone.

You could also use this hatch night light for quiet time or times where your child is dysregulated and needs to take a calming break.
