Description

If mornings in your home feel rocky, use a routine chart to increase cooperation and independence. This Daily 5 chart can be modified for children from age 2+.

Here’s how it works!

I recommend laminating the Daily 5 chart and using velcro pieces as a concrete reminder for your child to complete their jobs one at a time.

1. Choose 5 jobs you want your child to complete in the mornings. The goal is independence, knowing your child will need your support in the beginning depending on their age and development.

2. Once your child completes a job, they stick the picture to their Daily 5 chart and run to give you a high-five! You remind them of their next job, and they continue on to complete each one.

IF your child is able to complete 5 tasks with minimal reminders, they can complete all 5 tasks and give you a BIG high five when they are DONE!

TIP: Make the high five fun and unique each time to build anticipation and excitement around it. This could be a backwards high five, a high five from high up, eyes closed high five, jumping high five, etc.

Cheers to calm and productive mornings!
